more graduation pictures

Well here are some more pictures to look at from my big day. Julia, Emma, Liz and Mikey all joined me as well of course as Doug and the boys

Emma is sooo cute, Julia, Emma and Mikey did not stay because it was also Julia's B-day on the 22nd so they went home after the ceremony, but we stayed and went to the Keg for a very good supper.

My graduation day

I have finished my two year journey to becoming a LPN. It was quite the trip, and now I enter into the work force on Monday as a nurse. I only have one picture to start with, but when I get more time(ha ha) I will post some close ups and more family oriented pictures from my big day. It was a good day.

The best flax seed peanut butter cookies

i found this recipe on the back of a western family bag of flax seeds and I think they are the best cookies I have ever tried. Easy to make too..

1/2 c. butter or margarine

1/2 c. white sugar

1/2 c. br. sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 c. peanut butter

1-1/4 c. flour

1/2 c. flax seed

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt

oven @ 375 bake for 10 Min's or until golden brown. it says you should get 30 cookies, but I never got that many I did not use the egg and it turned out great still and it calls for ground flax seed but I did not do that I like the seeds whole you could ground half and leave half whole. You will not regret making these cookies unless you eat them all after they are ready.. You can't just eat one!!

This is Jevan, Sydney, Cody and Douglas at our Christmas dinner they all get along so well and they sure look cute for this picture. Jevan and Sydney are Douglas and Cody's cousins they also live here at Rosebank Ranch.

my famous potato soup

Potato soup

2 tbsp. butter
1c. onions chopped
1tbsp. chicken oxo
1-1/2.tbsp flour
4c. water
1 bay leaf
salt & pepper
1c. creamo
4c.potatoes cubed
1c. cauliflower
1c. grated cheese

Saute onions, mix flour and oxo add about 1c. water to make a paste. add to onions until thickens add water potatoes, cauliflower spices and bay leaf boil. Add creamo continue to boil until potatoes are soft. add cheese enjoy it tastes so good

this is Emma yesterday isn't she beautiful. we sure like her, she weighs about 11 lbs Doug was trying to ack like he doesn't like babbies but he could not make a mean face even trying to.

Ice Fishing

we went ice fishing a couple of weekends ago we did not catch anything because it was so cold. we had lots of fun look at the size of ice cube Doug chainsawed out of the lake. the cold wind was blowing but the sun was shining and there was a slide out on the ice. we made snow angels and made a small fire that took the chill off.
